Logic Systems Returns to the Superdome with PK Sound for Essence Festival

PK Alliance member Logic Systems returned to New Orleans' Caesars Superdome with a Trinity Black robotic line source system for the 2026 Essence Festival of Culture, precisely shaping sound to one of North America's most acoustically challenging indoor stadiums for performances by Cardi B, T.I., Teyana Taylor, Public Enemy, and more.

The Essence Festival is a monumental production by any standard – multiple major artists per night performing for crowds that can approach 90,000 in a cavernous, highly reflective dome. For the St. Louis-based production house, PK's robotic technology has become the key to conquering the room.

Using PK's patented Multi-Axis Robotics, the Logic Systems team tailored the vertical and horizontal dispersion of every module in the system to the Superdome's exact contours – focusing energy on the audience and keeping it off the distant roof, glass, and concrete surfaces that would otherwise smear the mix.

“Having remote control of every angle of the PA from the ground allows us to refine coverage patterns and achieve incredibly precise control of where the energy goes and doesn't go,” Logic Systems owner Chip Self told FRONT of HOUSE Magazine of the team's Superdome work. “In an environment like that, it's a game changer.”

The 2026 edition continues a multi-year Essence partnership: in 2024, Logic Systems' Trinity Black deployment – 18 Trinity Black modules with six T10 downfills per side, flown T218 subwoofers, and 16 Trinity Black outfills per side – supported legends including Janet Jackson, Usher, and The Roots.

Every element in the system is configured, controlled, and monitored through PK .dynamics software, uniting simulation, robotic control, and live monitoring in a single workflow.
